With the healthcare system in the UK contributing 5% of the UK’s TOTAL carbon emissions, it is our duty as healthcare professionals to address this and take responsibility.

The Green Physio is a certified Carbon Literacy Trainer with the Carbon Literacy Project. We provide Healthcare and Physiotherapy-specific training where you too can become 'Carbon Literate' through:

  • Increased awareness and understanding of the Climate Crisis on a local, national, and global scale

  • Education about the impact healthcare/the NHS has on the climate crisis

  • Identifying the Carbon hotspots in specific professions/areas

  • Developing strategies to reduce the carbon footprint, & developing a practice/clinic 'Green Action Plan'

  • Calculating one's carbon footprint (at home or your place of work).

  • Option 1 - Full Online Course on Zoom/Microsoft Teams (8 hours) - £100* per person (can be completed as 1 full day or 2 half days).

  • Option 2 - E-learning and Workshop - Online independent learning/e-modules (3-4 hrs) to be completed before the online workshop (3.5 hrs) - £130* per person

Participants will get a certificate on completion of the course, which includes the submission of their personal and workplace action-pledges.
